    overboard?

First time grower set ups would either be 1 of 2 things
a retarded mcgyver set up or go way over board

    First I bought a 40x40x72 grow tent($200)
    1 HTGS supply 400watt mh/hps set up($300)
    hydrofarm CO2 Regulator($200)
    CO2 cylinder($125)
    fox farm fertilizers/soil($80)
    AIR-3 tem/humidity/co2 control($250)
    clone set up($50)
    vent system ($100+)
    Indoor mix from duthseeds($55)

This is my first grow, I'm about 8 wks in and have 4 females(killed the males) who have been cloned already most of the plants have thumb size flowers on them,Ive had no issues what so ever.

So my question is, did I go overboard when buying all these thing or did I do the right thing?

Joepro thats a kickass system, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!

You've got pretty much everything you need, just dont overlove your plants!

Mine are coming up to 8 weeks too, have a look on the Hempstar thread.

    overboard?

I had no idea the amount of time/info and care that is needed.(and $)
    no, I don't over/under feed,lighting times stay the same,co2 levels are good.
Ive spent endless hrs reading these forms, even tho this is my first time and Im learning as I go,I really think I got a handle on things.
The issue is the amount of cash that was spent $1300,I just hope by next yr this time it has already paid for itself and I'm not in jail.
I keep thinking I could have just bought $1300 worth of bud instead.

Well you certainly should see a return on your investment eventually.. Its just difficult to predict how much & when.

But now you've got the equipment, you may as well use it to the full!

    Happy growing.

Have you read up on how to use co2? It's an advanced fine tuning technique, you need a sealed room and shiiit...

Damn that avatar of yours is hard to look it. That little fucker really tugs on my eyes. :wtf:

Get a vented - air cooled - reflector.

You have all the gear, now you need the knowledge! Put those two together and you'll be enjoying some real good bud! There are a couple of experienced hydro-hut growers that frequent this forum. I wish I could remember their names but, hey, this is , after all, a cannabis forum so what the fuck do you expect?

Is that a current photo of your hydro hut? If it is, you really need to do something about the heat and ventilation - ASAP!

Good luck with your grow!

ventilation is a problem with living in a city and in a apt,I have a ac venting in that is controled with my AIR-3 for now,no heat issues, more smell and having the lights on while im not home problems
Ive had no issues with my co2,my controler(AIR-3) also has a co2 gauge, its self severing, all I have to do is refill, that was a good buy.keeps the rm at 1400-1500
my tent is in its own rm(so I guess I didnt need to buy 1) but it has worked out, my clones now live in the tent(bought em there own light) because my plants got to tall(what a wounderful problem!)
even tho its alot of work I must say Im having a blast, had no idea this was going to be a hobby.

sounds like a very good system. even if you do mess up the first time or second even that should pay for itself in no time.
