Lowering temps in cab.. couple questions!
Ok guys, I have a cab 34"(h)x24"(w)x15"(d). Temps are getting up to 90-95 in my cab with the door closed. I have an oscillating fan inside the cab for airflow. The outside room temperature stays around 70-72.
Right now I have 2 - 3" Dynex comp fans (80mm / 34 cfm) running as the exhaust out the top backside of the cab placed side by side, and a passive intake at the bottom which is slightly smaller. I've tried a couple diff. setups; using one fan as exhaust and the other as active intake, but that didn't help much.
I just have one plant under 4 - 42 watt CFLs, but when she is done flowering I will start a new batch of seeds with MORE lights (cfl) for the next grow and I'd really like to get the temps stabilized before then.
I'm totally confused on the sizes of intakes/exhaust. I've read tons where intake should be smaller and I've read where your intake should be larger than the exhaust.
Anyone care to help me out on trying to lower my temps and improve my setup and give me an answer on the sizes of my intake/exhaust? I'd appreciate it and thanks!bron.y.aur babe Reviewed by bron.y.aur babe on . Lowering temps in cab.. couple questions! Ok guys, I have a cab 34"(h)x24"(w)x15"(d). Lowering temps in cab.. couple questions!
the intake hole/holes should at least equal the size of the exhaust
if you were active intake you might beable to get away with a bit smaller intake but i dont know that forsure. what i know is the more fresh air the better
i would at least try an 80-100cfm fans instead of 34cfm fans

Lowering temps in cab.. couple questions!
but generally it would be better to have double the intake as exhaust
and another good thing is to exchange the air in the cab at least twice a min

The oscillating fans are moving air but still the running motor throws heat.
Add an active intake.
Place the entire unit close to your air conditioner.
