    Vegetarian vegans...raw food eaters

So, i myself am not a vegitarian. Still i try not to eat a lot of red meat b/c it makes my stomach too full....i usually stick with fish or chicken and lots of veggies. Don't get me wrong, i do eat the occasional burger...yummmy, lol
I want to know if anyone here is very PRO or ANTI on the subject. Most people i've meet with this life style are very...erm....not to offend, but, intense about it. Kinda like a vegi beater, haha. Do you peoples think dropping the meat and dairy would better a persons' life/health?

I understand the philosophy. Animals can feel pain, therefore it is immoral to kill them for human pleasure. An animals preference to live outweighs a humans preference to kill it.

Having said that, i am not a vegetarian because my taste buds prefer meat as opposed to vegetables. I personally do not kill animals, therefore i find it justifiable to eat them. I wouldn't want good food to go to waste when there are starving people in Africa and anywhere else in the world.

Well I do know a few vegetarians and two vegans but the main reason is because they dont believe in killing animals for food because they have just as much a right to be alive as we do but its however you see it really, everyone has their own opinion some people dont eat any animals apart from fish and some wont even drink milk or anything (vegan) but one thing i have NEVER seen is a overweight or even slightly fatv vegetarian, Im sure everyone has to agree with me on this one, I would say that yes you would be a lot healthier but your body also needs some of the things you get from meet especially red meet. I tried becoming a vegetarian once but its not as easy you start to miss all the foods most vegetarians started when they were small raised that way by their parent(s).

I've seriously considered becoming a vegetarian after hearing the horror stories of how the animals are treated. I love vegetables, and I don't really eat much meat anyway, so I don't think it would be that difficult. I think the hardest part would be just getting use to not eating the same things anymore.

I definetly couldn't be a vegan, because I love cheese...on just about anything really

I'm always amazed at how many people like the idea of vegetarianism but how few actually bother to use that opinion when they decide what they want to put in their mouths.

I have not eaten meat, nor had the desire to, in many years. Once you actually live the vegetarian life, you realize just how disgusting that crap is.

just like christians, i foudn out they're christian, they find out i'm not, and leave it at that, it's fine... once they start infringing on my beliefs by dropping 'facts' and bible quotes or trying to convert me, again i take it personally....
Well, I'm far from the hard-core animal rights nuts. Even though I feel strongly about my vegetarianism, I can definitely sense a lot of craziness in the animal rights community. I have no problem with experimenting on animals for science, or taking over animals' habitat for human needs, or eliminating invasive animal species like the Asian carp. I think it's okay to kill animals if it provides a good enough benefit for humans, but that's a judgment call. I personally don't think me filling my tummy is a big enough benefit to be justifiable if I have other options, but I can appreciate that most people don't agree with me on that.
