aside from the unfortunate fatalities, it screws a city over when a bridge gets closed for what ever reason. Where I live I'm surrounded by the Passaic river and if something happens to a bridge ya gotta take day trips to get places Even down the street something happened with a water main blowing up or some shit and it somehow fucked up a bridge and cut the town in half... My friend lived right on the other side of the bridge and to walk to the next block he had to take a car detour while walking to get there..

READ THIS As some of you may have heard, the University Ave. Bridge collapsed here today at about 5PM... it's been on national news since. Coming from a guy who lives there let me tell you... this is crazy!!!... For those not familliar with the area the University Ave bridge is one of the MAJOR connecting bridges between the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul)over the Mississippi River and a major way of travelling to the U of M as well. 5PM is generally rush hour here and the bridge was packed bumper Rating: 5
