Let them veg until they are half as big as you want them to get. Longer the veg the bigger the plant the more bud you will get. What kind of lights are you going to be running?

    i am already using fluros

4 compact fluros 23 watt 1600 lumens each

    2 t8 1000 lumens 15 watts each

2 t12 tubes fat ones around 850 lumens and 15 watts also

its somewhere around 15 watts and 7000 lumens

That should be good for veg. I cant comment on using them for flowering, as I switch to a HPS, and only use my cfl's for veg. I'll leave that for someone else.

i know and have talk to alot of people who use fluros the hole time and actually get good bud quick

you should do one shelf grow and use nothing but fluro's the hole time and see if its for you or not

When I get my plants over 18in the light from my 200w cfl does not penetrate properly to the lower part of the plant and I start to get yellow leaves until I fire the HID's. I don't run the cfl's for side lighting in veg only in flower. One sec I'll send you a pic
