Interesting stuff.. I have always been a big advocate of sucking all the air out of the room... pulling it upward and OUT....

Of the entire room.. rather than individual bulbs..

So.. do you think that a plant grow under a cool tube would produce less weight than a plant grow under the same bulb at the same distance with out a cool tube..

Both rooms would be identical..

............................Theres only pics of that flouro grow room in the gallery,,,nowdays it has been opened up at the top and an hps hangs reflected up in the middle with racks of 4' flouros on each side ...........................AT the same distance away the cool tube is only slightly lowering and blurring the intensity and producing less weight .Just increase the airflow to move the heat up and away and plants grow bigger and stronger with more wind and they get all the light can give with no cooltube.:smokin:

a strong bulb is a hot one. and more bulbs is even hotter. and when you are cooling your area your plants like it but your bulbs don't. your bulbs are cooling and getting dimmer. its a must to try to keep the bulbs as hot and bright as they can get. even a regular 14'' fan will lower the lumens of any light. air circulation must go upwards off the lights so the heat goes that way to help keep the lights brighter. Have a look at these girls ripened full of buds ready for 12 hrs sleep smothered by walls and ceiling with flourescent grow bulbs of every spectrum!

The stand up idea would work but wouldn't give as much space to work with safely unless you have alot of space to use ,like a 1/4 of a room ,without hanging it would be quite the setup to have to secure all the flouro fixtures so they don't fall over ,and you'l need more plus movement of fixtures if you want to make it like a walk in one . Also fan placement(s) could be a problem .*** I'l keep mine raised and with things shelved below with a wide open walkup entrance and fanspace for good airflow and easywatering.:smokin:
