Well, what do you think of them?
I have joined a few of them in the past month..just to see..to my surprise..the response has been huge..which is a great boost to my ego..like I need any of that. LOL
it seems to me, that it is a good way to pre interview someone before you spend the time to go on a date. Most all have a profile and pictures, which is a good way to see how they look and then also how they write and think..
I havent met any women off of them yet, but am considering a couple of girls right now..seems like we have lots in common..my only thing that I worry about is that the ones that I do click with are much younger than me..should I really even be worried about that?geonagual Reviewed by geonagual on . internet dating sites Well, what do you think of them? One of my friends is doing the internet dating thing as an ego boost. She has memberships to eHarmony and Match.
She says everyone on eHarmony seems very conservative and marriage-driven, almost DESPERATE for a ring.
She's having a TON of fun on Match, going out on a lot of dates, but finding few people who are interested in much more.
I still strongly believe that the best way to meet people is through your hobbies. I'm dating a dude who I met on here though- does that count as 'through hobbies' or 'internet dating'?

I wish I got paid for mentioning plentyoffish.com ... it's a great *completely free* site that's taking over the world. It's the biggest site for anywhere that's not American, but I think they're the 3rd biggest or 5th biggest in the states, so it's still quite populated.
I've met quite a few cool people from there, and one not so cool, but the good definitely outweighs the bad.

Go for it, Geonagual! My sister met her husband on match.com. And I know lots of others who've done the same thing. I also know a few people (three or four of my former male colleagues from work) for whom those sites serve as a great source of booty-call companions and nothing more. So I think you can make of them what you want.

I dont know.. I always thought that was for desperate people but these days it seems to be getting more and more popular especially with people using other websites like bebo and myspace as a dating website in a way like they would look for peoples profiles who live near them find someone who they thinks sounds and looks attractive and get in contact with them, this seems to be getting a more and more popular way to meet people.
But yeah just because they're online you never know you might have a great bond together like birdgirl said go for it!
