    watering question

The reason I ask, is because I buy spring water by the gallon, and mix in my nutrients for each cycle of the plants life, and label the gallons such as "Vegetative Forumla 1", "Vegetative Forumla 2", "Flowering Forumla 1, Flowering Formula 2, Flowering Forumla 3".

The directions for my nutrients when used in soil direct me to apply the full strength formulations every thrid irrigation of my growing medium (fertilizer, water, water, fertilzer, water, water) etc...

    watering question

depends on the size of the plant ... a mature plant can really drink it up ... my vegging plants, maybe a quart every 3rd day, where 'Momma' will drink a gallon every 3rd day ... :smokin:

    watering question

Oh, I was under the impression (as I did in the past) that I had to fully saturate the growing medium, until water came out of the bottom. So, I'm trying to figure out how many of each solution I should make up...

In the beginning stages, do I not need to fully saturate the growing medium? Because I was under the impression that the growing medium would hold the same amount of water each time, regardless of plant size, as long as I re-watered whenever it became dry.

This time, I'm not using bagseed, so I want to do everything 100% right this time, as I don't want to mess up the seeds I spent money on.

    watering question

you want to use whatever it takes to give the plant a good watering ... cannabis likes to go between wet and dry periods ... wet it down good, let it dry out, repeat ... don't 'overlove' your plants ... dilute your fertilizers by half, only use occasionally ... good growing ! ... :smokin:

    watering question

Yeah, I guess I'm putting too much worry into it, before it even happens. I just need to relax. I'll know more once they are ready to be transplanted into pots from their peat pellets. I'll be able to "get to know" their specific watering needs. It's nothing I can really predict right now.

About diluting them in half image reaper, I'm following the Technaflora "Recipe For Success". I'm using their complete line of B.C Grow, B.C Boost, and B.C Bloom, along with Awesome Blossoms, Thrive Alive B1 Red, and Thrive Alive B1 Green as a foliar spray.

It has different formulas for each stage of the plants life, as not to shock your plants. I was under the impression I was to follow the recipe as it is, with feeding every third irrigation, the specific formula for each week.

BTW, I'm under the impression that this "Recipe for Success" is specifically for cannabis, as the directions for flowering are to use Flowering Formula 1 for the first two weeks, then Flowering Formula 2 for weeks 3 and 4, then weeks 5,6,7 I will use Flowering Formula 3, and then week 8 flush for an improved harvest quality "Noticeably through better flavour and aroma."

Flowering Formula 1 has a PPM of 1575, Flowering Formula 2 has a PPM of 1700, and Flowering Formula 3 has a PPM of 1900.

There is also a Vegetative Formula 1, and Vegetative Formula 2. Vegetative Formula 1 has a PPM of 800, Vegetative Formula 2 has a PPM of 1300. It directs me to use Formula 1 once the cuttings or seedlings have established root systems. I assume this will be around week 2, or whenever they are on their 4th node. It directs me to use Vegetative Formula 2 a couple of weeks into the vegetative growth stage. Throughout the vegetative stage, it directs me to spray the plants weekly with a fine mist of Thrive Alive Green, in the dark, to prevent leaf burn.

So, as far as diluting my nutrients, I don't want to reject your suggestion, but I think since I'm following this recipe for success, I'll be okay.

My soil is Hyponex mixed with perlite 70/30.

    watering question

I'm no expert, but it does sound like your nutrients are strong enough that they could be diluted 50/50 ... if you feed a weaker solution, you're much less likely to burn your plant ... you can always feed more often, or up the strength, if the plants seem to need more ... also, don't water too close to the stem ... it not only prevents stem-rot, but it makes the roots stretch towards the water, building a big root-ball ... good luck
