Test soon...very nervous

I'm new to the forum, long time smoker :jointsmile: I got offered a new job on July 6 pending I pass a "Drug screening". Not sure what a screening is, I hope its only a urinalysis.

I have not smoked since then and my test is July 31. I purchased a self tester and used it last week. It was one of the 5 tests in one test. It says that 2 solid lines means you pass, even the faintest line still means a pass. After i took it, all other drug lines had the 2 lines extremely solid except the THC line. The top was solid and the bottom line was extremely faint, but it was still there. Now, it specifies that even the faintest line is still a pass. A fail equals one line. It's just a little to ironic that the THC line was the only one that was barely noticeable.

Since July 6, I have been jogging 2-3 miles at least every other day. I will be 25 clean days by the time of the test.

With all of that said, should I still use the Dilute method?

Also, will they tell me at day if I fail? As I have an 1/8 waiting for me, crying to be smoked and I plan on smoking it soon as I get home from the test.

Please advise, I am extremely nervous and no way to calm down without my Gravity bong at my side!!

If you have a fast metobalism and are not heavy, simply follow the sticky on dillution on top of the forum. If you want to be totally safe, sub with either Quick Fix (synthetic) or someone else's clean urine. I subbed with clean urine at a big, national lab a few weeks ago and am currently smoking and enjoying my new job.

If you can see a line, even if it is a faint line, it is a negative. You should be fine.
The employer usually doesn't come right out and say "You passed". If you are hired, that is the indication you passed.

I use the test strips all the time at home and thats what you normally get is a faint line for thc negative.It does seem to get darker the longer its been since I've smoked.

Thanks for all the advice gang. I will probably try to dilute a little bit anyway, I don't think it can hurt. Test is Tuesday, I will let you know how I make out!!

Ok, so I took the test today.

Only thing I am worried about is the fact that my urine was neon yellow. I assume it was neon yellow because of all the multi Vitamins I took. This is what I did.

1. stop smoking for 25 days.
2. 60oz of Gatorade between 6-1 hours before the test.
3. Took 4 aspirins 3 hours before the test.
4. Voided 4-5 times prior to the test.
5. Took 1 multi vitamin per hour, until the final hour (6 hours).
6. Ate 2 tums extra strength 2 hours prior to the test.

I asked the Dr "if it was good" (meaning, did I give enough urine), he looked at it and said "yep, that's good". He put my name on it and said "Ok thats it, I will send a report to your employer".

One question:
If he didn't say anything about the color on the spot, will that still be a factor? I really want to puff a little bit today, as my nerves are just about shot from this whole experience.

You should be fine - if that doesn't do it, nothing will. Why did you take so many vitimans and the Tums?

I read to take 10 times the daily dosage. My multi V say 100% b12, so i assumed 10 times the dosage would be about 10 of them, however I didn't take 10.

First of all, it is B-2 that colors urine yellow not B-12. Second, if this test was being sent for a UA by a lab such as Labcorp or Quest or Knoll (ie it was put in a vial or vials, sealed with a label with your signature/initials, put in a bag, sent to the lab) color DOESN'T matter. The advice to take vitamins is more for people who take instant tests such as for probation because although they can't fail you on color alone, they can decide to run a full test on the sample ( Validity and immunoassay followed by GC/MS on non negative samples) since it was clear. The decision on the urine as to being dilute or valid is based on specific gravity and creatinine clearance, not how yellow it is. PH helps check for whether the urine was fresh and if additives were added to the urine after it left the body.

If you diluted, then don't puff till you get a passing result.

My bladder was full for about 2 hours before I actually got to piss, because I had a physical first. Would that effect anything?
