There are two cali orange plants in the 31st day of flowering. About a week ago the new leaves started to curl up near the tips of the buds (see pic 1 and 2). Thought the plants might be a little to close to the light, so they were dropped down about a foot. After a couple of days their wasn't an immediate sign of relief, so . . .

It was decided to give the girls a flush (this was Thursday at 5pm). About 3 times their normal watering amount was allowed to flow through the plant and drain off. then put back into the grow room, with a little bit of water at the bottom of the drip pan.

Checked on them today. . . and was HORRIFIED at the condition of one of the cali orange plants. Her leaves were browning from the base moving towards the tip (see pic 3 & 4). Not a dark brown, but a greenish brown, very noticeable and appears to be painful to the girl. There was no water in the drip pan, but the moisture meter result was at the highest saturation level.

So far the actions taken since this was discovered, lifted pot from drip pan, poked at the drain holes in pot with a skinny tool, Put a shim in between pot and drip pan. took pictures, shared with cannabis.com, smoked a bowl.

I also attached a pic of the other cali orange plant that is doing fine (see pic 5) (except for the new leaves on the tips of the buds curling, not really noticeable in that pic)

For what its worth, here's my opinion. . .
Its drowning from the flush.
If that is the case, how could I help facilitate a better pot drainage other then to make sure that the holes at the bottom of the pot can breath?
. . . drill additional holes at the bottom of the pot?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
