Ok... I've been drinking and smoking weed now for awhile. While I've gotten high off of brake cleaner once before and off of an inahaler... i've tried no other drugs (well ... i do smoke cigarettes).... I was just wondering if the trip for DXM was worth it and if there are any risks in taking straight DXM (overdosing, so forth and so on....). Any info would be appreciated!

Just last night I took about 6 oz of DXM (Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough), well more than my usual dosage (usually 4 oz or less). I took it at around 11pm, and it didn't really hit me till around 1 or 2. I was still really really feeling it well into 5 am. Then, at 520am, it just suddenly was gone. That's pretty awesome if you ask me, the high was totally constant, then it was just gone. No slow come downs or anything.

Man, I can honestly say that I was more fuckd up than I ever was. Even that other night that I did tons of pot, coke, alcohol and crystal meth doesn't compare to last night. Every time I closed my eyes I felt like I was having an out of body experience, actually seeing my thoughts and travelling to anywhere my mind took me. I barely had any control over my mind. After that, I became introspective, although I couldn't really think as clearly as I can on pot or XTC, or other things. I tried to watch some movies, and all the actor's heads kept changing sizes on me, and of course I had double vision. And whenever I walked around, I could barely walk and I felt like I was 2 feet tall. It was really weird.

But I do think I took a bit too much. Overall I had an amazing experience, but I did have a few hours of feeling ultra queasy. I think this was due to my extremely dry mouth and throat (and drinking water just made me feel more sick). I was extremely close to throwing up, but luckily I didn't. When I felt sick I would just take another small sip of water and lay down for a short while.

I've done dxm before, but I never took this much, and never felt like this. My mouth was really numb, and I guess my whole body was pretty numb. I'd make myself walk to the bathroom even though I didn't feel like it, but everytime I went, I'd pee an incredible amount. I guess my body couldn't feel that feeling you do when you have to use the bathroom. I also had a lot of gas, but maybe that was bc of the pizza I had earlier.

Anyway, it was worth it. It definitely was a trip, more good than bad. I'd say it's comprable to ecstacy, only without the speedy buzz. But then again, dxm is a lot stronger than e in a lot of ways. It was a admitedly a little scary cause I think I took too much. It's not like e where you just take one pill and you know you'll be alright. At one point I thought I was ODing bc I couldn't breathe. But I just did some deep breathing exercises, took some of my inhaler, and felt better.

So I suggest you take only 4 oz at the most. Especially if this is your first time. My first time I only did around 2 oz, but I also did a lot of pot, so I still felt pretty buzzed.

Wow, thank you for all of the information on that. I didn't have a clue how much I should take (I don't know if weight matters, but i'm a 6'4 250 lb male) and that is a lot less than i thought i'd have to drink to trip... which is a good thing. The only thing I am worried about it buying it.... I think i'll buy it where i work because they card at all the grocery stores around here for buying cough medicine (gay aint it).

I think i'll probably drink 3-4 ozs and i'll probably be smoking a lot of weed... so i am hoping it's one hell of a trip. Thank you for all the help and info on it!

^ a dxm trip tottaly depends on dose. heres mine:
350mg.- slight drunk and stoned feeling
480mg.- pretty messed up, feeling real drunk with no negative side effects of alcohol such as loss of motor control, head ach, or hangover. also some psycedelic feelings such as slight time and space distortions.
708mg.-tottaly psycedelic at this level. time seems to stand still, size distortions occur, disaccociation occurs, out of body experiences, you enter a dream like state.
1100mg.- 100% disaccociation happens, total mental calmness followed by a dream like feel.

i however built up a tolerance to dxm so it may take less to effect other people.

remember around 2000mg. is reaching the leathal doses.

I didn't have a clue how much I should take (I don't know if weight matters, but i'm a 6'4 250 lb male) and that is a lot less than i thought i'd have to drink to trip... which is a good thing. The only thing I am worried about it buying it.... I think i'll buy it where i work because they card at all the grocery stores around here for buying cough medicine (gay aint it).

That sounds like a good amount. I'm glad you read my post before you took too much. For DXM, it's better to take too little than too much, imo. This is bc to me, DXM seems a lot less predictable than ecstacy and other drugs. DXM is pretty dangerous in my book.

Weed definitely helps the DXM trip, weed has a synergystic (sp) effect on DXM, so they do make a great pair. Just remember that it takes around an hour (sometimes longer) to hit you fully. Don't do what I did and keep taking more every half hour cause I didn't feel anything! When it finally did hit me, it was way too much. Also, it's good to keep hydrated.

hehe... i didn't want to take it without researching it first... i was the same wiay with weed. I am excited and looking forward to trippin out on it... i'll probably get some this week and post my results to all of you guys!
