no it doesn't really have anything to do with flushing... durring their testing they had one toothbrush on a sink near a toilet... and they had a control one, ridiculously far away... upon testing, both had traces of fecal matter on them...

it's just there, just like everytime you breathe in, you're breathing in slight traces of dead skin cells...
