I,m not exactly sure but it would make sense that by flower you should be useing something all of 10gal. That's what I would do if those were your only two. If you have more plants than the best thing to do is to sex them and then eliminate one of the two. If ones a male get rid of him, If two females keep the healthiest one, take as many clones as you can off the other one and then cut her down right at dirt level with a very sharp knife while being carefull not to desturb to keeper:greenthumb:.
