I've heard a lot of IT, and saw him in concert the other day...I honestly don't get what people see in him...he's really not that good to tell you the truth. Beastie Boys definitely are revolutionary...they were the first white rappers pretty much LOL. They brought hip-hop and rock together as well. Just like Em was revolutionary...he changed the whole genre, as did guys like Jay, Nas, BIG, Tupac, Outkast, Wu-Tang, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs, DMX, Snoop & Dre, KRS, Run DMC, NWA and even Ludacris.

Also, as far as production goes, Just Blaze, Kanye, The Neptunes , Timbo, Premier, RZA and of course Dre have definitely revolutionized hip-hop sound.

I think im being misinterperted, I mean revolutionary in the terms of 'Viva la revolution', along the lines of changing political, econmical, and or social ways. Not so much in purly hip hop terms.
Any sugestions for Beastie Boys along those lines?

It's not what I listen to, but I hear tell that Tupac was the definitive rapper....

Yeah tupac was a lyrical genius.. if you just listen to some of his songs and take a look at the lyrics you will be able to see what i mean, hes like a musical version of the bible, you can learn from him.
