Newb Nute Question
so i got a bunch of different liquid nutes from the hydro store the other day(i'm growing in soil by the way) and the i forgot to ask the guy at the store how exactly to feed my plants. on the bottle it says to use like 2 tsp for every gallon of water. am i supposed to mix these nutes with water when i put them in the soil? also, i never give my plants a whole gallon of water when i do water them, so how do i figure out how much nutes to give them? sorry if i seem so confused, i have never done anything in my life with nutes, and i don't want to kill my plants. thanks guys!!

Newb Nute Question
thanks for the help rhizome. i appreciate all the wisdom i can absorb in this forum. the medium i'm using is some really nice soil the guys from the shop hooked me up with. i think it's locally made, along with the nutes i got from them. these guys really know their stuff, and the soil seems really great so far.

Newb Nute Question
If your using potting soil, it already has enough nutes to feed seedlings, wait til you transplant out of the cups

Newb Nute Question
I agree with crazyhorse. Remember, plants grow on their own, nutes just HELP. The reason I say this---this way---is cuz some seem to think ya have to feed with every watering. Then the post "whats wrong with my plants?" The answer is often --you guessed it---nute burn! For most soil grows, its my OPINION that a feed of once a week is sufficient unless you find yourself deficient in a particular nutrient.
Keep in mind there are waaaay more experienced growers on here than me. But personally, I stick to once a week in soil, unless my plant tell me they need more of something. Good Luck
