MOSCOW - Former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev criticized the United States, and President Bush in particular, on Friday for sowing disorder across the world by seeking to build an empire.

â??The Americans then gave birth to the idea of a new empire, world leadership by a single power, and what followed?â?� Gorbachev asked reporters at a news conference in Moscow.

â??What has followed are unilateral actions, what has followed are wars, what has followed is ignoring the U.N. Security Council, ignoring international law and ignoring the will of the people, even the American people,â?� he said.

â??I donâ??t think the current president of the United States and his administration will be able to change the situation as it is developing now â?? it is very dangerous,â?� he said.

I'm pretty sure most of the rest of the world knows what a fucked up government the US has become, they all hope we don't land on their turf and start fucking with them. We used to be seen as benefactors by much of the world, now it is just the opposite. we're seen as conquerors and oppressors, bullys if you will. Our dicks bigger than your dick and if you don't believe it we'll kick your ass, high school locker room reasonong for sure. How did our government get so fucked up? Did "we the people" allow this to happen through apathy, I say yes.

Yes the people allowed it because they don't take a stand against it. We are too much involved with our own lives that we do not take the time to see what is really going on in the world.
