To be honest they both look like they would work for what your trying to do. I think the roots would have no trouble at all growing down through the bottoms of the 1 gal and into the grow rocks. I have never used the water farm before, so i cannot comment on how it works. (although it seems very similar to a regular DWC bucket only with a ring for the drip) But I have done DWC and know it works well, and fast for root growth. So just try not to cut any roots badly and it should be a painless procedure!! Good luck, laterz..

picilo Reviewed by picilo on . 1gal pots to waterfarm transplant / pot inside waterfarm I've got 6 plants in a drip system, 2 of them are 34 days old and 4 of them are around 3 1/2 weeks old. I put them on a 12/12 light cycle monday so I can find and get rid of males. I plan on getting an Ikea free standing wardrobe using a 250 HPS and putting two plants in while continuing to veg the rest of the females (if there are more than 2 females). My issue is; the roots on both of my 34 day old plants (indicas) have out grown their 1 gal container. I'm thinking about using the GH Rating: 5
