Damn japanese beetles! They say to pick them off and drop them in soapy water, but yuck, I hate touching bugs! After they denuded one of my climbers, I planted borage near some of my roses, since it supposedly deters the bastards, and borage has cool-looking edible blue flowers.
But the japanese beetles then moved on to my flowering tobacco- I try to flick them out, but the buggers hung on, so I spritzed a few with neem. So next year it's borage everywhere!
Yes it is a peace rose. Its one of my favorites. And thanks for sharing the info on borage. I'm going to try that next year.

Also they maybe Japanese Beatles, I just always call them junebugs. I think they are the devils spawn.

It is the only one that hasn't been devoured by the junebugs. When I seen that it made me smile. Nature has so many beautiful things, and most of the time we never take time to appreciate it.
