how to cut from flowering
Plenty of people use rootone with fine results.
I FAR prefer dip-n-grow.
You can cut happily off a flowering plant during the 1st 3 weeks of 12/12. After that, as bud mass increases, rot is far more likely.
But during flowering is considered by some old-timers to be a GREAT time to clone. This is because of the phenomenon of undifferentiated cells. During the transition from veg to flower, new cells can very easily become... whatever!! Leaf, stem, bud, root. You give them the rooting hormone and tell them, BE ROOTS, DAMMIT!
Search 'stinky's cloning' because I'm too lazy to do it myself.
