Ok so this morning I get a call from my best friend. She tells me that a detective called her house this morning because somehow they found out about the drug deals my friend has been making via her cell phone. We still have no idea how this happend because it was a philly cop who is the reason for this and she doesnt and hasnt made drug deals in philly in a whiiile. Only down where she lives. So her mom questioned her and took away her cell phone. The detective said the situation is being investigated right now. Now, the thing that I'M worried about, other than my best friend getting locked up, is me getting in trouble along with her. The detectives have all her calls in tap, and although I havent heard anything about text messages, I dont see why they wouldnt investigate them too. That's where it becomes a problem for me. Ive texted my friend many times asking if she could get tree for me. So, when/if they see this, am I gonna be fucked too? Neither of us can afford anything like this to happen. I'm like really worried. Not only for her, but now I have to worry about me getting in trouble along with her

Well for starters, goofball, take down your pic from your avatar, silly thing!!!
Your parents are going to get a call and you are going to get grounded.
Then you will have even more time to post here!

the detectives might say things like '' we know what you did '' or '' we know who you talked to'' to trick you into saying things that they really dont know, just deny deny deny.

I gotta call WTF on this. Wire taps cost a lot of money, are not granted by judges that easily, and require a lot of man hours to perform. Are you serious that this chic who can get her cell phone taken away from her by her mom is going to be this high on the wanted list that they tapped her phone? It sounds like her mom is either paying the bill or she lives with her mom or parents so somehow I don't see this chic as being the next coming of Pablo Escobar.

I don't find it that surprising. Lots of cops tend to bust the bigger "teenage dealers" because they have nothing better to do. I've had cops come to my house because people I know were getting put in juvey....really not that rare in a bigger city. And yeah just expect a call or something if this is true, or a visit from DA 5-0 lol. But cops only came here because people use to think I was a drug dealer because of stupid ass parents telling eachother that they think i'm some type of drug dealer, just because I started doing drugs younger than lots of people.

The thing that sounds strangest to me is the part about a detective calling her house on the phone. Why would they tip her off? If they're going to arrest people, I'd think that they would just come and do it. Usually, there is a buy-and-bust type of scene, or they search your dwelling and person. Sounds fishy, like it's a ripoff artist, or a hoax. The people that sent text messages requesting weed probably have nothing to worry about in the event that it is a real investigation. Maybe they'll be pushed to be witnesses, in which case I would recommend a lawyer. This is all just speculation, as I've never been arrested or had any significant legal problems with weed.
Basically, if there has been nothing confiscated from her, and she hasn't been caught in the act of committing a crime, it probably isn't serious.
Like S.W.I.M. 504 said, just deny everything. If arrested, which is unlikely, don't say anything without an attorney present. They can't put somebody away for reasons solely based on text messages about weed.

the first thing the police would do is confiscate her cell phone.

Cell phone scanners are pretty cheap and you would be amazed at how many old farts with nothing better to do own them>One of our "pillars of the community" may have overheard conversations and dropped a dime on your ass.Keep drug communications over any phone to a minimum.
