I might actually be in amsterdam around that time. I'm studying in Italy this coming semester and I figured I might take some time after words and travel Europe since I'll probably never be back there again.. it just depends if I can find somebody to travel with or not.

sounds good, you can get flights to amsterdam from the UK real cheap - the same price as a 3 course meal......so, what, would everyone be sleeping in the 1 hotel?!

Its an old cruise liner thats been turned into a hotel and i believe its one of the cheapest hotels in amsterdam.. and you get breakfast too bout 10 mins away from the red light district

Botel is moored about 400m from the central station, so even if you went the long way round its less than 1km to the red light. As for hotels you can get beds at plenty of youth hostels around old town for as little as 1 quid or 15 dollars/euros. A decent bed wil cost you from 40 to 50 quid 70dollars/euros as long as you don't expect the ritz. Anyway its Amsterdam who'd want to sleep.
