For those of you with gourmet tastes...

...do you ever think about what wines or cheeses would pair with marijuana?

If so, share! I'm thinking heavy, spicy, dry tastes, like reds with Stilton.

Sometimes, you are the flight of the birds.
Other times, you\'re watching the flight of the birds -
    And other times, you\'re yourself.

Zwitter, I think you are exactly right about the wine pairing. Hang on, I have to find a pic, lol....

All right, I can't remember the name of this wine, but you can clearly see the label- does anyone recognize it? Oh shit, I remember, Monkey Business Shiraz! MMM

I DO remember being very impressed with the pairing of that bottle with a nice bowl o homegrown and chocolate chip cookies fresh outta da oven.

I generally drink Shiraz or Syrah (same grape) when I am wining and dining and puffing, but for a sweet tooth, you might like the Rosemount Shiraz/Grenache blend. It's got all the spiciness of the Shiraz, plus some sweetness to mellow it out.

    Nice thread.

i've never tried pairing bud with wine, but i have smoked a blunt with a bottle of scotch. my grandpa always smokes cigars and drinks some scotch at night and he said that they compliment each other very well, so i figured i'd try it with a blunt. i can understand what he means, but i bet that smokey taste from the cigar and his acquired taste to scotch made it better for him.

Never tired the wine. I did smoke a blunt with vodka and that was alright. Pretty nice.
â??They lie about marijuana. Tell you pot-smoking makes you unmotivated. Lie! When you\'re high, you can do everything you normally do, just as well. You just realize that it\'s not worth the fucking effort. There is a difference.â? ~ Bill Hicks

lol vodka doesn't count, it goes with anything.
You've got to find 2 strong FLAVORS that complement each other. Scotch or cognac and cigars are a classic pairing of 2 very distinctive and different flavors, that together become even better.
Blueberry ale (Wachusett from MA is the best by far) goes spectacularly with bud. Duh. Blueberry... bud... it's a winner.
