I think befor one can post a new thread, they should have to reach fifty posts. I bet itd make a lot less work for all the mods.

My first thought was that that's a good idea...but then lots of people come on here just to ask what they should do with their plants because they are dying or whatever. The argument could be made that those people could do some searching to find their answer, but really, that's not as easy as it sounds sometimes.

Also, 50 posts is not very hard to reach. Spammers/Post whores can get there in one night.

Another thing...there are MANY members here with over 50 posts that post some REALLY dumb threads. I just try to ignore them.

I think you have a good point there, but I just don't think it's feasible.

Actually new threads are easier to spot and deal with than new user posts....they can be well hidden within a thread.

I like this idea nice one! its a very good one, especially to stop the new people that come here and make lots of threads either advertising MOM or other websites, but what Fog said was also true theres lots of people that sign up here just to ask a few questions especially in the cultivation section, and newbies making threads would be easier for the mods to spot.

Nevertheless still a good idea! .

I'm sorry I don't agree with this method, that's what user authentication is for. A lot of people seek forums for discussion and questions. If they can't do that here they will do it elsewhere.

We keep a pretty good eye out on things and have a great group of people that help us out in the feedback forums and per e-mails. If you set a number at 50 there'll be some that let their true colors fly at 51.......just goes with the territory I guess.
