I greet people by saying "salutations" all the time. Sometimes though I say "greetings earthling(s)". Making use of an esoteric lexicon is my way of alienating the incognizant masses of ignorami that are plaguing the planet.

My fav word has been barney and this is how the converstations always go when i say it..
me:"Oh no,were gonna be in barney"
friend:"barney?"
me:"Barney Rubble,trouble.Were gonna be in trouble"

It's standard Cockney rhyming slang. I don't know how people keep track of it but I guess it works for them.

Scratch that. The link explains that "Barney" does not mean "trouble" in standard CRS (it was apparently an error made by the script-writers of Ocean's Eleven), but it is formed by the same process.
