    Elevation and growth rate?

    Hi, im new to this community and this is my first time growing. I planted some seeds about 4 days ago and i already have about 6 sprouts, im really happy about this. I was just wandering if elevation affects growth rate or anything, cuz i live in western North Carolina and im on top of a pretty high mountain, im asking cuz i know elevation can affect other things such as boiling time, and i couldn't find any info on this subject anywhere else. I think it's just because there in really good soil no fertilizer or anything has been added, their's lots of vegetation around it too which is a good indicator of the quality of the soil and blackberry plants are a good sign too. The temperature is also pretty good, it's usually between 80 to 90 which is perfect.

    P.S. i just wanted to say this is the best site i've ever seen for cannabis, and the best community of people ever. O, and does anyone know how to edit your avatar i can't seem to find it on the control panel anywhere.

    thanx. and keep on tokin:jointsmile::jointsmile::jointsmile:

    Hi and welcome. :jointsmile:

    Well, just to clear up one thing. Blackberry bushes aren't exactly a good sign (doesn't mean they're a bad sign either though). See, blackberry bushes will grow like weeds, everywhere, they can really spread out. The thing is, they can grow in the crappiest of soil.

    Well anyways, good luck with it. Keep an eye on it.

    As for your avatar. Towards the top of the page you should see a link that says "User CP" (User Control Panel). Click on that, and then on th eleft you should see another link that says "Edit Avatar." That should do it for you. :jointsmile:

    Elevation and growth rate?

    I don't think elevation will effect it much, if at all. I don't know anything for facts and am just guessing, but it could possible make it smaller than would have been if you weren't so high.
    I see this is your first grow to, be sure to actually read into what you are doing, especially the feeding of nutes. Good luck, nd happy growin.

    Elevation and growth rate?

    thanks everyone, and i found the "edit avatar" button, it wasn't there when i first registered, but then i posted this thread and had to accept the forum rules and then i went back to the control panel and it was there, if any mods are watching it might be a good idea to change it so that new users have to agree to forum rules when they're going through the registration process. That's just my opinion as i have done a little web designing here and there and i've worked a little bit with visual basics. I've done extensive reasearch on growing, i've probably watched about 3 hours of videos and read a couple hundred pages, i found a really good site that had an entire grow book online that was about 200 pages and i read every bit of if but that was a couple months back and i can't find the site anymore, but there's plenty of good guides on here too. Sorry if i'm sounding like i think i know everything, I really don't mean to. I just like to make sure i'm doing the right thing cuz i love weed and i really care for my plants and i want them to be the best they can, by the way i just checked them this morning and now my sprouts have increased from just 6 to 17 overnight. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    your avatar belonged to one of my favorite growing buddies "Needles", from Texas ... he just died from a heart attack recently, while he was writing his Willie Nelson Grow Log ... you have big shoes to fill, good luck with your growing :jointsmile:
