take a vitamin water/gatorade bottle and buy a top end to a socket for a socket rench its like $5, after you go these two things poke a whole on the bottom SIDE of the bottle not the bottom itself, you need to put the socket into the top of the lid so your going to need to get a knife and cut a little whole, and push the socket into it, have it as tight as it can, put some herb in the socket head, fill the water bottly while covering the whole at the bottom, then screw the cap on, light the herb, unplug the whole at the bottom, and if done right when the water from the bottom starts to empy the bottle should fill up with smoke, then unscrew cap and mother fuckin' enjoy

get a 2 leater bottle cut the bottom off get a socket a little one and melt it in the the cap that screws off then put a screen in it put your weed in there get a bucket of water and put the 2 leater so just the top is above the water then put the cap on with the weed in the scoket light it and pull up it should fill up with smoke then take the cap off push down and breath in

^ I thought so too the last time I posted this pic for somebody. I just posted it since it was the best Google images had to offer. Then somebody else came up with a good point. Having a stem in a gravity bong will pull the smoke through the water filtering and cooling it like a regular water bong. You're right, I don't think it's necessary, but after that was brought to my attention, I'd vote for having a stem as long as it's not too much trouble to make one. Always something to be learned on this site, even for the pro smokers.

If you don't wanna mess with water, there's another way to smoke a bottle full of smoke (which is what bucket pipes and gravity pipes really are).

Make the cork into something with a bowl on top like you do with the others, and remove the bottom of the bottle like you'd do with a bucket pipe.
Then put a balloon or condom (preferably balloon cause they are easier to blow up) inside and start blowing it up so that it fills the bottle. Put on the cork and slowly let the air out of the balloon, the slower the better. Then when the balloon is almost deflated you pull it out of the bottle, quickly remove the cork and pull in all the smoke.. remember to hold it in for at least 5 seconds!

Note that this will not cool down your smoke, so it will be very harsh on the lungs. Puking on the bathroom floor harsh, if you're a pussy.

Whats a cork are your serious.... anyway where I come from a waterfall is when you use a gatorade bottle and put a hole in the bottom of it and a gravity bong is when you use a cut off 2 liter bottle in a bucket of water.

Yeah the cork is the lid/cap.
It's just another way to do the same thing really. Personally i've never tried gravity bongs, waterfall bongs, or this method, cause i'm a parent and need to have some control of how high i get in case my kid wakes up and needs me.
