    you had good suggestions but i managed to get it out. i boiled some water and put the ashctcher in it and the wood eventually got so soaked and it just fell out in splinters and as for the clip, it fell out as did all the resin in the piece.

    i was just upset because we were all stoned and couldnt figure out a quick fix. it was like asking a monkey to type a reasearch paper on chemical properties of a blackhole
