    Let's try something pleasant here . . . .

Maybe it's mid-summer and temperatures are warm all over. Perhaps it's simply that I'm noticing some of the undercurrents that ran through posts while I was indisposed during this last week. But I do believe I've seen more negative, critical postings tonight about topics than I have positive ones, largely, and I realize that by being candid about having felt confined and over-babied this week by my parents and family, I may have inadvertently contributed to that.

I want everyone who can muster up the energy on this post to say one good, upbeat thing about someone or something else, just to see if it has any sociological value for our board community (or our cannabis cause--we always need to remember our cause).

I'll start. I have been amazed by the generosity and kindness of so many of you in leaving me encouraging get-well messages and reps, emails, and positive prayers and thoughts this week. It has impressed me completely with the warmth and kindness we have here in our midst.

Anyone else see anything good to comment on? I think my psyche could stand to read a positive-themed thread right now. . . .

i was actually considering making a post earlier in lounge to see if all us usual loungees actually feel like a family... it was brought on by your temp. goodbye thread... noticing how many people care... it just really feels like a community and not just a message board... kinda like 1950's tv show virtual neighbors...

Dogs are the bomb-diggity, aren't they? I am holding my dog Daisy at the moment, and it's the best feeling!! I missed her so much while I was gone. She's looking up at me through these sweet, sleepy brown liquid eyes.

we are all just folks. different upbringings, different cultures, different points of view and different passions. there will be the occasional dust up and a nasty little jab or two, but in the end we will almost always just fire up another bowl and relax, secure in the knowledge that all will be cool in the morning. just as with our kin in the real world, we all have one thing in common that seems to transcend the basic stupidity we inherited by being born into the human race. we all have an abiding love, desire and/or respect for the same downtrodden little plant and we have all experienced first hand the foolish hypocrisy of those who made us criminals.

and if you don't share my point of view you can kiss my ass.

Cann.dot is my second home. After a hard and horrible days work I look foward to going home spending time with my husband, smoking a bowl, and then getting online to catch up with my second family. I would be lost without Cann.com

I tend to feel like a bit of an outsider here...I'm not sure why....

but that said, I do love this site, and there are some really kind and cool people here. What delusions said about our bond is absolutely correct; even if we do not get along (and we don't always), one thing unites our hearts....

    a big, fat bowl.

Most of us have experienced, at one time or another, everything it means to be high: the initial paranoia, the giggles, the zoning out, the munchies, the creativity, the musical appreciation, and explaining some wild philosophical theory to the guy you're with. Close-calls with the cops, meeting new people through herb, etc....but above all, just being who you are, not caring about The Man, and enjoying yourself with red eyes through it all.

Toke on, my brothers. (and sisters)

My cherry kush REALLY tastes like cherry!

I just got back from the beach. The water was coooold, and I have bruises from my attempted skimboarding. Today was amazing.
