Haha, i know. This is my first grow so im a little overzealous. Anyhow, Its too late to go score a bag though so i pinched a little off and dried it in the microwave. Ill get one tomorrow for sure.

Personal experience....been there did that type shit and has seen a friend do it. I'm sure others may have other opinions but these are my own.

Harm to the plant.......never seen any type of harm due to lopping one top.

Getting stoned in a few hours? Unlikely....that would mean an oven or micro dry and you wreck the taste and the buzz isn't what it should be if anything. I've taken a small bud from the lower half and let it sit out for a day in a dark place.....not bad but it so much more potential.

If you can score tomarrow I'd just wait it off. The biggest temptation is to give the ol' "test try" and you basically do nothing more than taking a delicious bud and turning into shit....just wait off and that bud will show it's appreciation to ya in the future.:thumbsup:

dont do it..... pointless,micro dried is`nt worth a bolt,tastes like shite.my mate was forever doing it,sad really.although i always pull the scraggy tiny buds off the ones in the yard,as i belive it promotes upper growth? can anyone confirm this ?

There are three things that really degrade THC: Light, heat, and our foldling little fingers. If you want to have a really flat smoke that does nothing but make you cough, with little 'payoff', roast one. Let me remind you however, you'll only wreck some perfectly good marijuana.

It's your weed. You grew it. You have alot to be proud of. If you want to snip a bud go ahead. If you are just starting out and you will be growing the same strain for a while it will give you a good reference point. I mean when to harvest as determined by what kind of buzz you like. Take the popcorn buds (the smaller buds on the lower nodes). It still takes a while for them to dry well enough to smoke. But it will give you knowledge and you will over time develop your own special taste for growing your own weed the way you you like it. There is nothing like sparking a bowl of weed that would cost you 400 a z and knowing that you grew it yourself.

I have been snipping all my grows.

i snip the smallest bud every week.

and leave it to dry for a week, then i smoke last weeks sample to see the type of high.

only after about 4 weeks of flowering though once the trichs start to show and some red hairs, before that its pointless.

it promotes the top bud growth. In a SOG, i always remove the lower buds. cause light cannot get to them well.

i harvest for high type, not yield.

but dont dry it in a microvawe that fuckin sucks!!

Chuck it on top of your pc for 24 hours (a bit less like 12 but still) and then it will smoke nice and get you stoned

But also only do it if there is a few red hairs
