It's your weed. You grew it. You have alot to be proud of. If you want to snip a bud go ahead. If you are just starting out and you will be growing the same strain for a while it will give you a good reference point. I mean when to harvest as determined by what kind of buzz you like. Take the popcorn buds (the smaller buds on the lower nodes). It still takes a while for them to dry well enough to smoke. But it will give you knowledge and you will over time develop your own special taste for growing your own weed the way you you like it. There is nothing like sparking a bowl of weed that would cost you 400 a z and knowing that you grew it yourself.
