Currently I have a prescription to take Ambien. I take it for my insomnia which seems to be the result of mild anxiety disorder. My anxiety attacks cause pretty bad insomnia. When I am experiencing the anxiety attacks i pretty much can't sleep at all. This causes me to be a major dud at work and basically under-perform at my job computer programming. In fact my employer already told me that I need to improve my shit or risk termination.

So for the last year I have been taking Ambien to help get sleep. The problem with Ambien is that i hate taking this chemical. It leaves my mouth tasting funny (metallic) and also seems to cause me to have a hard time getting up and full of energy in the morning. I am not usually on my game until mid-day and i drink a shit load of coffee to keep going.

This is really not working for me and the shitty thing is that I know there is an alternative treatment that helps me. When I smoke up (or eat brownies) I can almost always get to sleep and the high usually helps with the anxiety itself.

I would really like to be able to join a club in SF and get something for my insomnia, but the few people Iā??ve asked about the subject have told me that insomnia is not serious enough illness to warrant the use of MMJ.

When i told my doctor that smoking helps me sleep and the anxiety he told me to quit smoking and that it was not a legitimate treatment. So my doctor does not believe in MMJ and would never provide me a written recommendation for it. I don't really know what else i can do to convince him to help me, help myself.

Does anyone out there use MMJ for insomnia or mild anxiety disorder? Do I have any chance of being approved to use MMJ, or am I basically left to finding miscellaneous hook-ups off the street when i can? From time to time I get smoke off the "street", but I hate doing it for all the typical reasons: (quality, safety, price, atmosphere and community).

Any advice or help from the community? Iā??d love to stop taking these pharma-chemicals and instead rely on natureā??s bounty to help me get some sleep.

Thanks,
rollo
i can only speak for me
it helps my sleep,i been Rx'd seroquel for sleep ,they will make me sleep but i dont like the feeling they make me have like heavy heavy legs as if they wiegh twice as much they should and groggy headed the next day
its like my last resort to get few hours rest

mostly
i only use them after a few days without weed becuase a jiont will allow me to sleep and actually rest thru a night,(i rarely sleep over 4hrs)
drug induced coma is only way i sleep 8 hrs,and that aint too healthy for me

a nice jiont helps my appetite and eases some pian,
i cant take pain meds often becuase of ulcers and kidney stones so its safest for me to smoke weed than take the meds the docs would give me if i would just go on letting them,I see them only when i must, and its always same shit

have shot of this,
few these for later
here is Rx for some tabs
thanks come agian.

my anxiety is helped by weed but ive known some folks to get panic attacks and blame it on the weed cuase they had just smoked,
not saying it cant give one
it probly can certian people ,
everyone aint the same chemical machine, and docs go by the majority rule
only you can tell if weed can help your anxiety

legal or not im smoking it cuase it helps me
peace
