    GOT A SURPRISE TODAY

I was checking my plants today. They are close to picking.
I got a surprise upon close inspection I saw mushrooms
starting to sprout in the one plant. They are little cute ones.
I've been pretty good about watering, so no mold as best I
can tell. What should i do? Pull the srooms or pick the plant
    and remove the plant pot.

    NO!
Those are probably Rhizopongo (sp?) and are a sign of good things to come. They help your roots grow.

Ah! Can someone explain this to me? I don't see how seeing mushrooms growing on your plants could be a good thing. Of course, I have no knowledge of outdoor growing, only indoor, but still... that doesn't sound right, lol.

Mycorrhizal fungi help the roots uptake nutrients better.
I'm not sure how much of it has to do with breaking down soil components to increase nutrient availability, or with a symbiotic relationship between plant and fungus, but these highly specialized fungi ARE good for the plants.
I do not know if what you are seeing falls into this category.
