we as a society are so intrigued and fixated to celebrity lives, why? do they care about us? why does it matter what these celebrities do?
It's because people are social animals with a great need to be connected to a community and the rise of urban life has lead to social isolation, a cold society of strangers. It's of particular interest that the Hollywood celebrity didn't really take off until the close-up shot was invented.
