    How much longer??

Hi everyone. I'm glad to see there are so many well informed people out there that have a common love, cannabis.
I've been smoking for close to 10 years now. All the things said about it being harmfull is absolutly not true accourding to my experience.
I've not smoked for 5 months now. Just cause I don't have any. I haven't had any withdrawl symptoms whatsoever.
I've got a plant growing now.
My question is this. How much longer before I will be able to smoke this plant?
It's about 4 months old. I've been growing it by sunlight in a pot. I've been covering it to give it 12 hours of darkness since it was 4 weeks old. Here are some picks of it.
Hope to get a reply soon.[attachment=o148582]

    Thanks in advance.

Most strains start with clear or slightly amber heads which gradually become cloudy or opaque when THC levels have peaked and are beginning to degrade. Regardless of the initial color of the secretory cavity, with careful observation you should be able to see a change in coloration as maturity levels off.

Some cultivators wait for about half of the secretory cavities to go opaque before harvesting, to ensure maximum THC levels in the finished product. Of course nothing tells the truth more than your own perception, so try samples at various stages to see what is best for you & the phenotype your are growing. While you may be increasing the total THC level in the bud by allowing half of the glands to go opaque, the bud will also have a larger percentage of THC breakdown products such as CBN, which is why some people choose to harvest earlier while most of the secretory cavities are still clear.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
The trichomes have just started appearing.
What I really want though is a ruff estimate of how much longer it will take to get to the stage where I can smoke it. Will it be another month or longer?
Could I smoke it now? And yes, this is my first time growing.

There must be someone out there helpful enough.
I've checked the FAQs, but see nothing about how long it takes.
    Please, some help.

If you had it in 12 hours of full darknes during 3 months. It should already be done. Not knowing your method of changing your light cycle, my guess would be you may have had light leaks causing changing from veg. to flower or it took longer than usual to switch to flower. Knowing your strain would help also. The most accurate way to tell is the trichs though. Watch em cloudy up and turn amber look for 10% clear, 45% cloudy, and 45% amber. Be patient, and love her more than you have ever loved any woman and you will be very satisfied.

    Good luck to you!

P.S. that is GOD luck to ya, growing outdoors is tough.:angelsmiley:
