i'm having a little outdoors grow and my plants are close to 5 months old and have been flowering for a few weeks. the thing is that they are outdoors and usually receive more or less 12 hours of sunlight a day.

if i harvest most of the buds and leave just a few small buds and leaves will it go back to a vegetative state by itself? will it start producing new buds again? i'm in central america and we get sunlight for 12 hours pretty much all year. the buds are gonna be ready in a week or two at most and i'm hoping i can yield more from them.

starting to look good if you have a place indoors to grow you could clone your females and maybe get a better yield with more plants with only around 12 hours daylight you are somewhat stuck with a short veg time or veging indoors and placing outside to flower.

growing indoors is not an option, i think i'll just have a bunch of plants growing outside. i have enough space for a lot.
those plants were actually an experiment of mine. only thing i did was germinate the seeds indoors and watered them for the first few weeks. then i transplanted them to where they're now and i let mother nature take it's course(the only other thing i did was remove the only male). i'm quite happy with the results. plants are looking healthy, smell really nice and i invested zero money and almost no effort.

with these seeds i got germinating i think i'll be more involved(if i'm not too lazy anyways).

Considering your location, I think you are fine. I would just make sure to look for strains that are traditionally tropical. The light in the tropics is different. I have a plant that has grown two feet with limited light and is healthy. I have no room for it outdoors, and here in Cali. You are lucky to have such a good climate. We have had too many days of gloom this summer.

arent tropical Cannabis strains an auto-flowering C. satia sub spieces that flower because of age rather than photoperiod

so trimming off small buds n leaf now will greatly reduse harvest in 3 months or so

originally would suspect that long flowering sativas was probably all that you would probably find in the tropics, they are not auto flowering and still use the photoperiod to flower even if the photperiod never changes.
much like if you was growing indoors and started a indica and a sativa on 12/12 lighting from seed the sativa is able to do alot better under those conditions.
