First closet grow (Equipment)

OK I went to some local hardware stores around the area i live in and bought some lights from the information i have gatherd.


I bought 4 x 27 watt Floresent bulbs as show in the pictures.
I also have 3x28 inch floresent lights that i will put near the sides.
And one 150 watts Compressed sodium light. I am going to put space blankets in the lining of my closet and try and mix the light types for optimal growing. I will be using a standard soil grow, but could use more info on the type of soild i should use and the type of fertalizers. I plan i growing 6 plants predicting that atleast 3 will be males, leaving me with 3 female plants.



Ill update the post as i continue on with my progress. The stain that i am growing is Flying Dutchman Royal orange.

your sodium light isnt low pressure sodium is it? those wont work, it will say high pressure sodium on it.

Good luck, sounds like my first grow. When i was kid i did a 3 plant flower in my closet at my parents house. I used two 4 foot flo's that put me at 160 watts. I had 2 sativas, and one indica. They actually turned out really nice considering all the cpar i used on them. I ended up with about 20-30 grams on each plant. Again good luck on your first grow!!!

Iv have been busy building since my last post. I bought a wardrobe approx 5.5 feet tall. It is particle board and had no back. So i bought a nice solid pine back for it and cut a hole for an intake bathroom fan. I then stuck the fan in sideways and attached it with 2 bottles of poxy. I then put 3 coats of water based pure white eggshell paint on the inside. Now im going to cut a 6" hole in the top and place my carbon filter that i created on the top. I bought a 6" inline fan that i am going to install when it arrives. I rethought my lighting and bought a bigger cfl. This baby is a 300watt T5 cfl. 12000 lumens on this thing. I also have that 150 watt Compressed sodium light that should do well for the flowering.

I just got my seeds from Gypsy nirvan,Flying dutchman royal orange. I also got a bag of 10 strain of Skunk X #1 south african. I have been reading that this strain is pretty hard to germinate, so i think im going to try and grow it first since i have never grown pot before.Will Germ seeds tonight and finish the box tommorow. Hopefully a 6" 1.4 foot high carbon filter is enought to hide any smell when they start to flower. I didnt realize how much fun this would be to build everything myself. I feal like im in grade 9 again at the science fair hehe. will post more pictures with my camera instead of phone when everything is completed.

im pretty sure your not growing at all of someone else isnt becouse ive seen these pics and post from someone here cant find it but ive seen it im sure other people have to
