Ebay scam

Well its not really a scam but i suppose it is in a way, people make a seller account to sell their stuff and then create a "buyer" account which is a lot easier and quicker to make as you dont really need to verify the buyer account and make it look like its not the same person and then keep bidding on their own bids on the seller account to make people keep bidding more and more, anyone seen this one before?

I've seen that, just not the same person bidding on his own stuff.

A family friend was selling a trailer, so my mom and her friend would make some pretty stretchy bids so the Family friend could get more.

My moms friend actually ended up winning, so the scam fell back on them. The family friend, to my knowledge, still has the trailer because he was never able to sell it.
