    Bong or waterpipe?

This might be stupid, but I think some waterpipes are being advertised as bongs. I always thought a bong was different from a waterpipe in that with a bong there is a chamber that accumulates the smoke that is inhaled all at once. I just bought what is advertised as a "mini bong" but is in fact a waterpipe. I like it a lot, but it's not really a bong. The chamber for the smoke to accumulate is just too small to actually be considered a bong. I think marketers just assume stoners are more apt to buy a bong rather than a waterpipe. Am I right or wrong about the differences between waterpipe and bong?

    Bong or waterpipe?

I think you can call a bong a bubbler

but you can't call a bubbler a bong
I mean, if a trooper sees a joint in my hand, and i\'m at the wheel of a car, i\'m busted... but for some reason, I never get pulled over for eating too many candybars...

    Bong or waterpipe?

Bongs and bubblers and whatever else are just different forms of waterpipes. If it holds water that the smoke travels through, it's some form of waterpipe.

Yup! I live in colorado and it is illegal to say it in a headshop. They get angry if you do. And could get fired.

its not illegal here, just to make sure though, they call them waterpipes. any smoking device that uses water is a water pipe, but like said before a bubbler is not a bong but a bong is a bubbler. kinda like a squares a rectangle but a rectangle isnt a square...
