my first seed :)
it will if:
1.its a viable seed
2. its not too deep
3. the medium does not dry out
4. It is warm enough
Make sure your cup has good drainage and once it sprouts do not water until it drys out. A moisture meter is a valuable tool.
Let me know if it sprouts

by germinating them you only save a few days in growing time,(3 days tops)
and know for sure you have a plant growing in the container and not waiting to see if the seed was any good
you just put the seed direct to soil and water it,
i mean, whats a week,?be safe,,dont risk having to move it unless ya must
start out in the proper container and you wont even half to transplant it
enjoy
good luck

You're going to need fluorescent lamps, along with some daylight tubes, because the winter sun is too weak for a window grow. Good luck with your first grow man. I remember mines, I had her under a 20 watt cool white and took care of it like it was a son. I got extremely happy when it started smelling skunky. A few days later..............
My mom killed it.
