eh i stay away from my board when im high, unless im not going too fast, trying to watch my neck
yeah it hurts when you fall but all you have to remember to do is tuck and roll, dont try and catch yourself with your hands or youll break something

tuck and roll means that whe nyou hit the ground you bend over (tuck) let the force of the fall take you to the ground and then let the force of the fall roll you over (if you fall from a skateboard ud know what i mean) once u are done rollin over theres no more force
its just a better way to take any type of fall than it is to hit the ground stiff and arms planted out just foamin at the mouth to be broken

It's simular to the roll they teach you in martial arts. It's saved my ass more times than I can count. Worth learning.
You don't fall as much with longboarding as skating but you can be going much faster when it happens. Invest in some pads and a helmet, if you're worried.
As for being high and riding, it all depends on you. Do you get high when you snowboard? If so you won't have much problems. I ride baked all the time, I find I don't have to think about what I'm doing, I just do it, but sometimes I get spooked and just walk if I'm to high. know your limits.
