Can you aquasafe trop/fish water treatment
It says on the bottle that it neutralises chlorine and heavy metals,so i thought it would be good as an addative to my tap water which is a little high in ph ,
But as you can see from my other threads they seem to have come out ok (a lot of judgement and a bit of luck).
my wife is into tropical fish and she suggests that if i leave the water for 24hrs or so it should reduce in ph and any unwanted metals may sink to the bottom.(of a bucket)
Or does everyone use ph up or down.
What ihave been doing is 2/3 cold tap water and 1/3 boiled hot water to create tepid water, so i wonder if the boiled water helps with the ph i aint done a test on that yet.its on my list.

i have had alot of experience in water chemistry with tropical fish and heating water does get rid of chorine...leaving it to stand over night or running an airstone in it for a few hours also does the trick ...the metals in the water are not going to sink to the bottom of the bucket over night

Fraid not.....chemicals for fish are different than the ones for plants. Fish can take much higher salt levels (even freshwater) and most adjusters, dechlorinators etc for fish are too high in salts....not to mention other additives.
Yes DragonBud, everyone uses ph up and down (for plants!) Welcome....I'm sure we can find some sort of product to spend your money on.
I have read that leaving water to sit out overnight will get rid of the chlorine....ph would probably only change (IF if changed) due to water temp and wouldn't be very stable perhaps. And Fatsax is right....those metals in the water will be right where you left them.
Stick with the stuff for plants for your plants and stuff for fish for your fish. They'll both thank you.
