Swiss Northern Lights in the Woods - Some Advice Please!!

Hey everyone, this is my second grow. About 8 weeks ago I bought a clone of northern lights at a store in Geneva (yes you can buy plants in stores in Switzerland). I planted it out in the woods near my house and it was immediately attacked by snails. I considered it dead and went on a 4 week trip to the states and today I went back just to see if that slim chance of survival might have come through.....it did!!

However, the plant is only about a foot and a half (40cm) tall and it is very skinny and flimsy. The weather has been shit here for the last 4 weeks, a lot of rain. And the plant is in a spot where it only gets about 4 hours of direct sunlight per day.

There are some pictures from my phone below, I will take better ones with a camera in the next couple of days.

Here are my questions:

1. Could the limitation in growth be associated with a lack of sunlight? Should I maybe move it?
2. If so, Is it save to move it?
3. Should I fertilize it or does it get enough nutrients from the soil in the woods?
4. What can I do to make it bigger and bushier? Should I top it? Pull down the branches with string?
5. Is it possible to cut off a part of the plant to grow another one next to it?
6. Is there anything else I should do?

would say that the limited sunlight is probably why it has not grown more but there could be other things contributing to it like soil and amount of nutrients availble to the plant, would probably try transplanting to a spot where it receives more sunlight just be carefull digging it up and try not to disturb the roots to much you may want to plant it slightly deeper if the stem seems weak you can bury to just below the first set of leaves.
you might want to pick up some superthrive or other fertilizer that helps plants bounce back from transplanting and reduce transplant shock.
its really to late to be topping as it will start flowering very soon and would probably be better off just tranplanting it for now.

full sun is 6hrs or more a day, so if possible i would move it. deffinately try some fertilizer and i would top it as well, but i do that on all plants. you still have a ways to go so i would give it a good veggie fertilizer once ,maybe twice then do a blooming fertilizer.

why did u plant it in the woods it is too late in the season to move it maybe more ferts n check the soil ph learn n apply it to next year

Why is it too late? The plant is still rather small!

its never really to late to move it to where it gets more sun.

Just went to check on it and something bit or tore off the top 1/3 of it which was lying right next to the plant. Maybe a deer bit it off and then spit it out? I guess that solves my question of topping it... Hope it survives. I put the bitten off part into a glass of water. Maybe I can get some roots to come out of it...

snip off any rough parts on the stem, cut it at an angle and you will have a better chance to sprout it. sorry about that, but it might work out for the best if you get another out of it.
