Spore is the only upcoming game I know of that gives me a rational reason to upgrade my two-year-old hunk o' junk. Speculation is that it should be able to run on lower-powered machines though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have to buy any new parts...

I love how as you proceed up through the evolutionary development of your creature, it also proceeds up through the evolution of games - Pac-Man, Diablo, Civilization, and so on.

Any ideas on what kind of creature you're going to make first? I'm thinking of some kind of pale willowy humanoid, but the temptation lurks to make a race of Aliens and a race of Predators and send them at each other's throats...

But I've recently just to take a look at the game SPORE thats coming out hopefully sometime soon. The game is absolutely incredible. I remember games like Seventh Cross Evolution, Sim Earth all intrigued me and highly interested me, the ideas of each being great, but sadly poorly executed and were only marginally fun to play.
