The mrs. and I have a wooden pipe for whenever one of us doesn't feel like using the bong for whatever reason, and it's the cheapest crappiest pipe we could find, since we hardly ever use it anyway. I must say, it really sucks and does make the weed taste gnarly, seems i'm smoking the wood as well or something.

We used to have metal pipes and those are pretty good.

I read somewhere that in the US it's not a good idea to go for a pipe out of anything else then glass, since there will be nothing left in a glass pipe / bong after you cleaned it, which does not work for other materials, especially wood, so when it's glass and clean then it's just a pipe, so you don't get busted for drugs paraphernalia.

I read that on another forum. I remember somebody replying to that by "As if they are going to take your pipe to a lab or something and check if you've been smoking weed from it.... Oh wait, you're in the US..." Thought that was quite funny
