Epsom Salt is magnesium sulfate ... a source of magnesium, that can really screw up a plant if over-done ... because I'm not that tech-savvy, I don't use it ... I have some sitting here, (in case of a raging deficiency), but after buying it, I discovered mis-diagnosis, and using it when not needed, can cause 'lock-outs' and other bad things ... I will wait until I have a bad situation, before adding it (another reason I wouldn't make a good hydro grower: fear of the unknown ) ...

To add to what Reaper said, I personally NEVER add it to liquid ferts, but instead apply it as a foliar feed when and if I see the tell-tale stripes of Mg def cropping up.

The only plant I use it on is roses- for some reason, it causes grafted roses to grow more vigorous shoots from low on the plant.

I wouldn't use it to feed my plants, (outside of grass, because grass loves it) but i will use it to bump up the mg of plants. A little goes a long way, and they recover pretty quickly. IF you are using it to treat a MG problem and you don't see the problem go away in 4 or so days from a Epson salt feeding, DO NOT USE IT AGAIN, it's not your problem.

Also, i've found it will WACK out your PH'ed solution, so test after adding it to the water. Then bring it a little lower then what you would normal use. Playing it safe with something that can and will lock out your plants is the only way to go.

I wanted to foliar feed Stinky, but i'm so afraid of spraying my damn plants, i've had nothing but bad experiences

I think I've been using like 1/4 tsp. in a quart spray bottle- that's pretty darn strong, FAR stronger than you would EVER want to water with- but I mist very lightly. And to Skrappie, I do try very hard to avoid ever getting added moisture on the buds.

Just Foliar sprayed my plants with it and immediatly they turned yellow were I misted. I watched them for about twenty minutes and watched the spots go away. It's like using a rust nail it works but old timers shit. I just orderd a spray from hydro empire they say is good for others and leaf development. The foilar srays are getting popular.
