so earlier i was playin some online poker and i like to chat when i play cause i get bored and next thing you know some dude just starts talkin mad shit to me. man it pissed me off cause i know it must some lil kid runnin his mouth and if not i know i would beat this guys ass if i seen him in real life so i just brushed it off, then he went on talkin bout my moms and shit and i dont wanna argue cause ill end up breakin my computer gettin pissed so i asked, why would you try to act hard over the computer? ive debated but i dont talk shit unless its in person.Well i guess this is a vent thread but my point is has this happened to you and what do you do not to get mad

okay, i play online poker quite often so i have encountered these morons before, theyre the type of people that go all in with a 2 10 off suite, and when they do win its in a huge fluke, like getting two pair on the flop and making a full book on the river, i once had this guy call me a looser and telling me i should stop fucking my mum and start playing, meanwhile im taking all his chips, then he says if we were playing for money he would whoop my ass, so i told him, okay, ive got $1000 in my account, if you think you can take it from me that easily, lets go,

I can relate. I love poker, (if you can't tell) and have been to Vegas 3 times and to Tunica, MS once to play. I also play frequently online, and have experienced the same. My fiancee is bad to try to "talk shit" on the computer while playing and I have to get onto him about it. (in his defense, he doesn't start it, he just gets caught up in doing the same thing after provoked) I say just ignore it. I rarely chat with people while playing, except to say "nh" or something like that. If they start talking shit to me, I simply ignore them, and let my play speak for itself. Usually those people are quick to go as well, so you don't usually have to deal with it long. If you have never playing in Vegas, I would recommend it, as it is much different, and much better. The last time I went over Memorial Day I made 3 out of 4 final tables in tournaments I played in. And people are generally much nicer and more complementary. When you are a good player there, it is respected, rather than pissing "losers" off.
