thats what ive heard, but i dont hear of many people doing it so you might want to get a second opinion... supposedly its nearly impossible to over fertilize this way....

Foliar feeding is primarily used to correct deficiencies.
Most of us just stick to feeding with the waterings, and if something crops up, foliar spray for a little while until it is fixed. I keep a supply of the Micro part of the GH 3-part for this purpose.
Foliar feeding NPK works but IMHO is far more trouble than it is worth- I try to supply my plants' needs through their roots.

I used to use foliar-feeding exclusively for all my fertilization ... it worked well, and I never had an over-fert situation, etc ... I liked it ... now, the downside: it is time-consuming, and messy, and raises humidity, if in a cabinet ... you need to spray the undersides of the leaves, in the mornings, while the pores are opened, time consuming ... the overspray is a disaster around Mylar, etc... and, the humidity increase is obvious ... also, the days you are not feeding, you will need to spray the leaves with plain water, to wash off any accumulation of solids ... so, as you see, it is much more WORK, if done properly ... :smokin:

I can only tell you how I used to foliar-feed ... I mixed a 1/2 strength solution of my fertilizer, sprayed the undersides of the leaves, ONE day a week, then would spray the leaves with plain water the next day ... soil-watered the plants as needed, usually every 3-4 days ... be aware, if you foliar-fertilize indoors with organics, I hope you grew up on a farm :wtf:
