will panic attacks come back if u smoke bud again?

I take Lexapro every day... and have been for almost 4 years now. I have panic disorder and social anxiety..... basically, i'm a mess. lexapro has helped me SO much... (oh..and the xanax when I feel panic rising). Still, I have to admit that I only started smoking marijuana about 3 months ago or so...and my anxiety and panic as INCREASED significantly. It's a major bummer. I also drink alcohol.....probably too often....but I've done that for years and never had an increase in panic attacks.

I'm beginning to worry if pot just isn't for me.

beautiful disaster Reviewed by beautiful disaster on 07-25-2007. will panic attacks come back if u smoke bud again? ok plain and simple I used 2 smoke marijuana and I started getting really bad anxiety attacks from it so I stopped but I started taking lexapro which took the anxiety away so that being said would it be ok for me to start smoking marijuana again and be anxiety free this time around since im on the lexapro? all comments will be greatly appreciated Rating: 5

Your body is aging and its reaction to alcohol may be changing over time.
You should try taking a vacation from it to eliminate it as a full or partial cause of your panic attacks. Alcoholics really can get edgy and irritable when they are not drinking. If you already have diagnosed anxiety, you should avoid anything that might contribute to it.
