Pipe buying tips
I'm new to smoking and was looking to purchase myself a pipe and was wondering what one looks for when buying a pipe. I just want a small hammer or a spoon or something similar; you know, something that is easy portable (but more than a one-hitter). The reason I ask is that a friend told me that you should buy a pipe with someone who is experiance so as not to get ripped off. So, what are the ups and downs of various aspects of different pipes.
Thanks

Glass. Only downside is they can break and are a bit more difficult to clean. Breaking shouldnt be a problem if its good quality.

Gotta look at thickness of glass, the thicker, the better. Don't buy pyrex, it's a waste of money and not nearly as good as glass.
But I think what your friend is refering to is prices and the way some headshops sell. Because with inexperienced customers, they'll jack the price up. You have some room to negotiate, after all you are the customer, and you know bestHappiness only real when shared
