The coca plant contains the chemical cocaine in its natural form. Cocaine is just as natural as tetrahydrocannabinol. You don't need to specially prepare it to get the cocaine out. The Incans used to just chew the leaves and they got a coke buzz for when they needed to climb a tall mountain, go on a hunt, or maintain stamina on the battlefield.
and heroin(and many other drugs) also comes from opium poppy(a plant) but like cocaine, it is processed and cut with other chemicals...unlike weed.. where i believe it's supposed to be a trimming, drying and curing process......which is natural
Lots of people smoke straight opium though, with no more manipulation than we're doing to our weed. You don't need to process it into heroin or morphine, but you can.
